Despite studying music at university, Kate began her working life in technology PR. But it soon became clear that she was more excited about language than the latest operating systems, so she decided to be a writer full time.
At Quietroom, she has worked on brand language for PruHealth and Ocean Spray, written copy for HSBC and Which?, and delivered training for Prudential.
Music still plays a big part in Kate’s life. Having spent years performing as a vocalist and pianist in jazz and rock bands, she’s now studying classical singing in her spare time. It could take a while to get that spot at the Royal Albert Hall though, so she’ll have to make do with family weddings and bar mitzvahs for now.
