How we helped a consumer champion build a brand as strong as its heritage
more >Woman: So, darling, in terms of the Going on Holiday project, I think we’re broadly aligned around the key objectives going forward. I’d be keen to get your input, so we can agree next steps…I’m keen to engage everyone and get us all onboard by the end of Q2, so things don’t get challenging in Q3.
Man: Thanks, honey. Can I just recap our strategic objectives? We agreed sun, sea… and something to keep the kids out of our hair. Thanks for your feedback on last year’s week in South Wales. I know the precipitation conditions were sub-optimal and there were some mission-critical technical issues with the tent.
You also felt that the project fell short against one or two of the broader metrics. I think we can take some valuable learnings from those to help us follow best-practice this year. I don’t know about you but I want to ensure that this year, we’ve got clear deliverables and that we can see value-add for all stakeholders. I’ve reached out to Sarah and Callum and they’ve provided some enormously valuable input. They said: what about Euro Disney?

My wife said to me the other day that she hadn’t yet engaged with her mother about her birthday. We both froze and a chill went through our bodies.
Maybe its an issue of how long one has worked in their respective industry but I notice that if you’ve had a career for less than 5 years you probably don’t speak like the above. Emails and speech include “hey, hi” “u”, “cheers”.
Words like “strategy”, “projects” and “objectives” tend to be used by people with business cards titled “Associate”, “VP”, “MD”, “CEO”.
